Film School with Garden Reflexxx
On October 15, working with prosumer (read: very easy!) video equipment, night vision DV cameras, and a small team, we will make improvised short film in the city centre, with strangers.
Come join DIY directors Garden Reflexxx to gather, capture, photograph, and record scenery with the attitude of an indie director. Each shot will stand alone as it’s own work, and also tie together in a larger unedited sequence of moments. Consider this an imaculate corpse, much like the way Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul works, to take an atmosphere reading of the city (see: Ray Farkas). This workshop is ideal for folks who aren’t afraid to be both behind and in front of the camera, to come be inspired by the city. The works will then screen on a special night during the festival. Don’t be afraid of the dark!
